Gray Named New Executive Director Of Metro COG

Cindy Gray has been hired as the new Executive Director of the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (Metro COG). The Policy Board for Metro COG approved the hiring on May 17 following a six-month, nationwide search.

Gray has over 32 years of community and transportation planning experience. During this time, she has worked as a transportation planner in both the public and private sector. She served as Senior Planner for Growth Management for the City of Fargo and as a Transportation Analyst at Metro COG.

She currently serves a Principal at SRF Consulting Group where she is responsible for project-related work, business development, and management of the offices in Fargo and Bismarck.

Gray is expected to begin in late June. She will fill the position left vacant following the unexpected passing of the previous director, William Christian, in October 2017. Michael Maddox has been serving as the interim Executive Director since October.

Gray holds a Master of Community and Regional Planning degree from North Dakota State University.

About Metro COG: Metro COG is a regional governmental agency and metropolitan planning organization serving the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area.
