Man Toys on Display: through March. 31. The library’s current display is from local resident Neil Wenberg’s collectible war toys. Wenberg is loaning many of his 1930s-40s Manoil, Barclay, and Built-Rite items for the public to view. Having been manufactured during the Depression and World War II when there was a shortage of money and metal, they are made of cardboard and hollow lead slush.
Luck of the Irish: 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Join us for a night full of celebration for kids. Make a shamrock, play games, and enjoy a snack and sip of green drink. Registrations is requested at the service desk or call the library.
New Release Movie – “Goosebumps”: 2 p.m. Saturday. Join us for a showing of this thrilling tale. A teenager (Zach) teams up with the daughter of young adult horror author R. L. Stine after the writer’s imaginary demons are set free in the small town of Madison, Del. Rated PG. Free and open to the public. Free popcorn.
Craft Supply Recycling: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday. To celebrate National Craft Month, West Fargo Public Library and the Knitty Giddy group are together hosting the second annual craft supply recycling each Tuesday evening in March. In April, all supplies will be donated to local activity centers.
Friday Morning Movie – “Springtime Adventures”: 10:30 a.m. Friday. Join us for this celebration of spring in these fun tales. Follow along with spring adventures featuring Bubble Guppies, Team Umizoomi, Dora the Explorer, and more. Rated E. Free. Open to the public.
Genealogy: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Bring projects or just ask questions.
Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers and is just stories – no crafts. For stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration is not required.
Storytime with a Craft – Bunny Hoppin’: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Story times are geared for preschool through first-grade age children and their caretakers. Day cares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead to (701) 433-5460. Registration is not required.
Knitty Giddy: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Join this fun group for an evening of knitting or crochet. Come with your own supplies. Not for beginners, but tips will be given to knitters and crocheters needing help. No preregistration required.
Lego Mania: 2 p.m. March 28. Build individual designs and create your own worlds. The library has a big supply of Legos and other games for a fun afternoon open to all ages.
The Homework Center is open 3-5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday when school is in session. Homework Center is closed March 25 and 27.
