City library offers new online service

Free online and mobile access to thousands of streaming movies, music, audiobooks and e-books are now available at the West Fargo Public Library through its new partnership with Hoopla Digital.

The service will allow those with a West Fargo library card to instantly check out and enjoy content on their smartphones, tablets, and computers.

Through the library’s website, www.westfargolibrary.org, patrons can access Hoopla Digital on their personal computer or download the free hoopla app to access items on their mobile device. Individuals can create their own Hoopla account that allows them to access their account across devices.

All items are immediately available for streaming or temporary download. Items are returned automatically at the end of the checkout period.

Audiobooks, e-books, and comics and graphic novels can be checked out for 21 days; music can be checked out for seven days; and movies and TV can be checked out for three days. Patrons may check out up to 10 items per month from hoopla.

The West Fargo Public Library is the first library in the state to partner with Hoopla Digital. The partnership allows the library to add to its existing online collection.

For more information or to get a library card, visit the West Fargo Public Library at 109 3rd St. E., go online to www.westfargolibrary.org or call (701) 433-5460.
