Special Events

Babies Rock — Sensory Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Lap sit storytime and sensory activities for babies up to 20 months.

SRP Music Instrument Petting Zoo (Grades K-4): 2 p.m. Thursday. Fee event to discover a variety of musical instruments and even apps for creating music. Program is open to kids in grades k-4.

Technology Class — Computer Basics: 1 p.m. Tuesday. Learn the basics of using computers, including identifying computer components, starting up/ shutting down, basic navigation, creating and moving files, and finding programs. Bring a laptop or use one of the library's laptops. Space is limited. Please register at the Service Desk or by calling (701) 433-5460.

SRP Rock-Tac-Toe (Grades K-4): 2 p.m. Tuesday. Build and design a Rock-Tac-Toe game set, using rocks, paint and creativity. Program is free and open to kids in grades K-4.

Fairy Gardening Workshop: 7 p.m. Tuesday. Master Gardener Beth Rogness demonstrates how to create a magical mini garden. Free and open to 18 and over. Register at (701)433-5460.

SRP Hop 'n Pop (Preschool): 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Hop 'n Pop storytime. Listen to a fun story, enjoy some delicious treats, and dance to music on bubble wrap to pop the bubbles. For preschoolers and their caretakers.

Regular Events

Friday Morning Movie — "Sing": 10:30 a.m. Friday. Free popcorn.

Genealogy: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Bring projects or just ask questions.

The Next Chapter Book Club — Evening: 7 p.m. Monday. Discussion of "The Music Shop" by Rachel Joyce. Free and open to all adults. Stop at the Service Desk for a copy of the book and discussion questions.

Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers and is just stories — no crafts. For stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration is not required.

Storytime with a Craft: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Story times are geared for preschool through first grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead at (701) 433-5460. Registration is not required.

Twisted Stitchers: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Evening of knitting or crochet. Bring supplies. Not for beginners, but tips will be given to knitters and crocheters needing help. No pre-registration required.

Movie — "Into the Woods": 1 p.m. June 14. Free movie and popcorn. Rated PG.

Coding for Kids: 6:30 p.m. June 14. Coding for kids. Variety of coding activities including: Hour of Code activities, Ozobot Robots, and a low-tech coding game. Event is open to kids in grades three to eight.

SRP Reading Rocks: 1:30 p.m. June 16. Design a reading rock. Paint a rock to represent a favorite book, story or character. Program is free and open to kids of all ages.

SRP Craft: 1:30 p.m. June 18. Summer Reading Program (SRP) weekly afternoon craft projects. Make and take a variety of different craft projects all focused on Libraries Rock.

SRP STEM Camp: 10:15 a.m. June 18-22. Kids can learn all about different areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and participate in fun experiments and activities. Each day is focused on a different topic about music, sound and nature. Kids are welcome to register for all days or separate days individually. The library will be partnering with the Inspire Innovation Lab for this and more programs to come.

Succulents Workshop: 7 p.m. June 19. Master Gardener Beth Rogness demonstrates how to properly plant and care for succulents. Free and open to 18 and over. Register at (701)433-5460.
