Special Events

SRP STEM Camp: 10:15 a.m. June 18-22. Kids can learn all about different areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math). Each day is focused on a different topic about music, sound and nature. Kids are welcome to register for all days or separate days individually. The library will be partnering with the Inspire Innovation Lab.

Babies Rock — Sensory Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Lap-sit storytime and sensory activities. This storytime is geared for babies up to 20 months.

Movie — "La La Land": 6 p.m. Thursday. Free movie and popcorn. Rated PG.

Read to a Dog: 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Spend some time practicing reading with friendly dogs. Trainers remain with dogs at all times. Several dogs will be at the library during this time. Registration is required. Call the library at (701)433-5460 or stop by to schedule a time.

Millennial Book Meetup7 p.m. Thursday. Informal book meetup hosted by the West Fargo Public Librarry to revisit 90s & 00s books that give major nostalgia Re-read your favorite and come discuss it over a beverage at JL Beers West Fargo (810 13th Ave. E). This event is for adults 21+.

New Release Movie — "A Wrinkle in Time": 2 p.m. Saturday. Newly released movie based on the popular children's book. Free popcorn. Rated PG.

SRP Craft: 1:30 p.m. Monday. Summer Reading Program (SRP) weekly afternoon craft projects. Make and take a variety of different craft projects.

SRP DIY Rock Necklaces (Grades 5-8): 2 p.m. Tuesday. Learn to design your own stylish necklaces. Using rocks, cord and creativity, you'll leave with a beautiful necklace. Program is FREE and open to kids in grades 5-8.

Terrarium Workshop: 7 p.m. Tuesday. Katie from Baker's Nursery as she demonstrates how to design and create a terrarium. Free and open to all adults. Register at (701) 433-5460.

Regular Events

Friday Morning Movie — "Pocahontas": 10:30 a.m. Friday. Join us every Friday morning for a showing of a fun and family friendly movie. With free popcorn too.

Genealogy: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Bring projects or ask questions.

Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers and is just stories — no crafts. For stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration is not required.

Storytime with a Craft: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Story times are geared for preschool through first grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead at (701) 433-5460. Registration is not required.

Twisted Stitchers: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Evening of knitting or crochet. Come with your own supplies. Not for beginners, but tips will be given to knitters and crocheters needing help. No pre-registration required.

Upcoming Events

Coding for Kids: 1 p.m. June 28. Variety of coding activities including: Hour of Code activities, Ozobot Robots, and a low-tech coding game. Event is open to kids in grades three to eight.

WFPL10 a.m. — 12:30 p.m. July 2. The library will join the Little Red Reading Bus in the month of July to do some special guest reading and activities.

SRP Craft: 1:30 p.m. July 2. Summer Reading Program (SRP) weekly afternoon craft projects.

Announcements

The library is closed Sundays during the summer months.
