A week after breaking out against Bismarck Legacy, the West Fargo offense struggled again in a 16-8 loss at Grand Forks Red River Friday.

A first-quarter Declan Genova touchdown run, followed by a Luke Lennon catch on the two-point conversion, was all the offense the Packers could muster, as they were outgained 358-271.

Genova finished with a team-high 69 yards.

Freshman Carson Hegerle continued his strong recent stretch of play, finishing with a team-high 65 yards receiving. One week after playing his best game of the season, quarterback Cooper Sahli struggled, throwing five interceptions.

The 1-4 Packers are now 0-2 in the Eastern Dakota Conference. They look to earn their first conference win against a Fargo North team that has scored just 14 points during a four game losing streak.

The game kicks off at 7 p.m. in Fargo.
